    If you look at charts of the size up until 2019, you’ll see it noticeably shrinking year or er year. 2019 looked fantastic but was due to weather conditions. Similar to global warming, the ozone hole is caused by manmade chemicals that last in the atmosphere for decades to even a century or more. It was expected to heal around 2040.

    In those same charts, you’ll see that we seem to have lost a lot of ground after 2019. I’ve read blame placed at the hands odf a side effect of global warming, a volcano, or Chinese manufacturers cheating the ban on HCFCs
