I know, I’m not even attempting to get to an “insignificant” number, rather to a scale that sounds more “palatable” for an armed conflict, that wouldn’t elicit this sort of response.
I guess proportionality could be a useful gauge. 1:1, 2:1, we’re at 25:1 now.
An order of magnitude lower would still be 3,000 civilians dead - that’s on the scale of 9/11.
