The mystery of “infantile amnesia” suggests memory works differently in the developing brain
My first memory was when I was still in the hospital right after I was born. I know your eyes can’t even see that much detail so I’m pretty sure I filled in the faces once I could see them. But from moving, I know what age my memories are from based on where I was. I have plenty of memories from when I was <5 years old. I have horrible short term memory, but long term I can store very detailed images.
