How does the Opus hold up? I’ve heard mixed reviews, especially when grinding for espresso.

Very jealous of that Decent! Maybe it’s a good thing I don’t have one though. I feel like I would go crazy trying to dial in the perfect recipe with all the stats it gives and customizations you can do.

The Opus is ok. I was really excited for it to come out since I wanted a grinder that could do pour over and espresso. I like the anti-static tech but the all-plastic build is a bit of a let down. It works well, is easy to dial in but I think my next grinder will be more metal.

The Decent is fantastic! True the settings seem overwhelming but it comes with a ton of presets that all you need to do is load the portafilter, pick a preset and hit a button. I was making great shots on day 1 without a lot of fiddling around. Once you get the hang of the settings, it’s fun to experiment with other presets or even make your own.

It will for sure be my next espresso machine. Just got my first one for Christmas last year, so still learning. I don’t think my wife would let me buy a second one so soon lol.
