    The amount of celebrities that get into politics in America and end up doing well is baffling to me. I know celebrity worship is insane everywhere, but in America it seems like it’s reached the a point of blind blithering idiocy.

    The closest thing I can remember of there being in my country is this guy from dragons den or shark tank or something, and there was such a backlash to him even suggesting he was going to run that he never ended up even running.

      The amount of [BRANDS] that get into politics in America and end up doing well is baffling to me. I know [BRAND] worship is insane everywhere, but in America it seems like it’s reached the a point of blind blithering idiocy.

      Anything with a recognizable label that reduces the amount of thinking required is easily digestible and welcomed by Americans. Celebrities are name recognition and personable in a single package. It’s almost like being a celebrity is made for endorsing and no one cares what’s being endorsed, until it takes away their rights.

        He’s such a small time celebrity that nobody even remembers his name. But that was enough for most Canadians to be like “fuck off.”
