I don’t mean to belittle the work done on the web version, but the overall experience will just never be on par with native apps. You can tell from the delays to the occasional hiccups. Are there any projects that aim to port WefWef to iOS? We can sideload it at least.

Just give it time, someone will make a native wefwef clone. It’s open source after all.

Hell, if there’s no native app in a year, I’ll contribute to making one happen.

I would like you to point out some example features that can’t be done on here though that exist in memmy? The hiccups on here are not due to it being a web app.

Tapping the status bar is a common design feature on iOS to scroll to top of the page. This is an example of something that isn’t available to a PWA.

I think that limitation could be worked around though by making the area just below the status bar perform the scrollToTop function.

You can tap the posts icon when you are scrolled down reading comments and it will take you to the top comment. Same thing with posts

This is true. It’s a bit less intuitive for me and I don’t remember to use it most of the time.

Yeah to me it’s pretty clear that any hiccups/issues are due to the app being in ALPHA status, moreso than being a web app.

People seem to overlook that easily
