In case anyone is confused by the headline:

NBC’s [hiring of former RNC chair Ronna] McDaniel [has caused a public relations] mess [that] threatens to [figuratively] explode

      Threatens who, though?

NBC is trying to maintain an even balance between left and right talking heads. Ms. McDaniel is part of the Trump machine and just about as far right as a person can professionally get before they start blaming conspiracies out loud.

But anything Trump at this point is sheer bullshit. I don’t blame those who criticize this stupid move. Trump is a traitor. He owes allegiance to no one. Why give it more legitimacy?

It’s as if the Nasa TV network hired a “flat Earth expert.”

Exactly. There are plenty of other great experts to hire instead of McDaniel who can provide good context and background. Goodbye NBC!

            That’s a great analogy.

NBC executives - Carrie Budoff Brown, specifically - fucked up in a truly embarrassing way. They now decide whether to embrace the chaotic entropy they’ve chosen - to become utterly irrelevant and hated - or, to about-face, admit they fucked up, lose tens of millions in shit-for-brains contracts that should not have happened and hope to surface later as a somewhat reliable news source again.

You’d think this would be an easy decision, but here we are.

She absolutely blamed conspiracies out loud for a very long time. She is nowhere near qualified or insightful. The hire is excruciatingly tone-deaf, cynical, and abhorrent.

NBC News just shit its pants and is now deciding whether to blame you for it or not.
