Joints & water bongs. Not anti-tobacco, I just think the crappy chemical laced wrappers you see sold for this just ruin any ability to enjoy the actual product.

maybe they’re smoking garbage already I dunno, it just makes me wonder.

I feel like there is a misunderstanding here.

Blunts = 100% weed wrapped in paper or whatever you want = possibly laced paper (there are good ones)

Joints = mixed with tobacco = possibly laced paper + definitely laced tobacco

If u dont like chemical laced paper, why do you want chemical laced tobacco mixed in your weed?

From a health standpoint only inhaling oil vapors is the best but joints are defintely worse than blunts

        I feel like you’re misunderstanding.

In the USA, which chances are the person you’re responding to is from given the population breakdowns, a Blunt is weed rolled in a cigar / tobacco wrap. A joint is weed rolled in a cigarette paper. We rarely roll tobacco in with our weed because why the fuck would we roll tobacco in with our weed??

As far as I can tell the only place that typically rolls tobacco in with their weed is in the UK.

Again, why the fuck would you roll tobacco and weed together? Gross.

Im with you on not contaminating weed with tobacco but around here (germany) most people would think of a joint as weed mixed with tobacco but maybe thats just not correct.

But whatever, everyone just use your weed however u want :)

What I am saying is I’d wager the bulk of the English speaking world equates a joint to weed in a rolling paper and not weed mixed with tobacco.

France here. We use tobacco or else it hits too hard and it’s too expensive. That may be wasting but dude I’ve been smoking a lot and pure weed joints from Amsterdam killed me several times, it’s just too much

I always either rolled tiny ones (~1,5cm long) or just mixed it with some tea. Though now I have a vaporizer and ofc use that.

Mixed it with tea as in you rolled tea leaves into your joint or drank some to soothe your throat? If the former, can you tell me more? I’d try that

It’s the former. I wanted to try a joint filler that does not have nicotine nor bad smell. I had seen someone try smoking tea leaves with a pipe on youtube and decided to use that. Any tea is good as long as it is just leaves.

People in the USA when I lived there smoked spliffs with tobacco and weed all the time tho.

            Gross.

That said you said it perfectly too, they called them “spliffs” and the rest of us are sad they didn’t have more weed available so they could avoid the spliff.

I dunno sometimes people called them joints too but I’m usually too high to really get my undies in a knot over English words as there are too many. My mother tongue is far more efficient with words and would use the same word for both lol

“I don’t like something personally so no-one else can either”

I used to smoke cigarettes, I don’t anymore. I find the factory made ones a bit gross most times. But I understand not everyone does.

And I still smoke tobacco, but never without weed, and I generally don’t smoke weed without tobacco. I enjoy how good tobacco smooths out the smoke a bit, and counterbalances heavy indicas as nicotine is a stimulant.

Just like with alcohol, people sometimes enjoy their substance differently.

I prefer smoking from a small-ish bong (more like a large water filtered pipe, I don’t take rips, I take large puffs), a 5050 strain of CBD/THC, with tobacco. This is because I smoke all day for medical reasons. Not all the time, but throughout the day. So I don’t want it to be too strong.

The proper rips of heavy indica I save for the evening.

You are right about what a blunt is, btw, just want to second that.

At one point I really enjoyed smoking imported pipe tobacco, cognac flavored was always a favorite. Very rich and smooth but if you can’t inhale (or “shouldn’t”) it always feels incomplete imo.

Well, it’s not like there’s one correct way to use the terms, people use them differently, but, these are the most common ways I see the terms being used.

Blunts are when you’ve rolled something into tobacco or even cannabis leaves.

Joints are kinda whatever cannabis in a paper, can also contain tobacco ofc.

Spliffs are the same, except this word has a more heavy connotation of having tobacco mixed in.

A lot of the times people use spliff and joint interchangeably, but if people do differentiate between them, most times spliff is the one with tobacco and joints are pure cannabis.

        https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blunt_(cannabis)

A blunt is a cigar that has been hollowed out and filled with cannabis. A blunt is different from a joint, which uses rolling papers.

Wikipedia doesn’t have separate entries for joint and spliff though.

But again, feel free to use the terms any way you see fit yourself.

Joints in the US are wrapped in rolling papers like ZigZag and Marley (I prefer - they’re unbleached hemp). I can’t recall the last time someone here put tobacco in a rolled marijuana cigarette. I roll mine w/o filters. Pot is pretty cheap - and legal - in WA state.

Blunts are often rolled with flavoured tobacco leaves - examples: https://www.bnbtobacco.com/pages/blunt-wrap-brands

they reek of ‘grape’ or ‘pina colada’ and are made out of the same kind of tobacco leaves you’d wrap a cigar in; blunts og form was emptied cigar wrappers - black and milds, cigarellos etc., it’s incredibly chemical-smelling and tasting and makes me wonder why

That’s how Europeans smoke it. I’ve tried it, and it’s good, it adds a little bit of a kick. Not something I’d do on the regular though because weed tastes so good on its own.

struggled too much with cigs to fuck with my weed that way, but different strokes for different folks. I do think the principal applies tho - you’re taking good weed and making it taste like shit lol

I agree for the most part. I do like to try new things, variety is the spice of life. I quit smoking blunts right around the time I could regularly get better than brick weed schwag for that very reason.
