You are still having a conversation. You’re refusing to have a conversation about the topic to which you chose to reply to.
It’s a bit like going to a convention on a thing and then starting to taunt people who want to talk about the things the convention is about, while you refuse to acknowledge there even is a convention. Metaphorically, that is.
