      Why? Honestly I am curious about that.

      It looks super hypocritical and relevant that in the midst of the Gaza genocide the Republicans want to suddenly oppose free speech.

          Well, that is objectively false - we are talking about poisoning the well here.

          I will not ask you to not call a bigot a bigot… But if a bigot is right about something, we have to deal with that… We don’t have to come to the same conclusions, but we have to recognize the truth of the situation.

          I also want to push people away from the precipice of conflict and encourage everyone in the fediverse to become more “post-right, post-left.” So these interactions between us are good, IMO, and like… IDK, you can call him or anyone a bigot if you want…

          But let’s try to just move past some of the obstacles we have before our dialog and not jump to conclusions.
