For me, ________ is basically all sports games that have ever been broadcast. Most of them are just locked away somewhere, with literally no legal way for anyone to see them.

Universal basic income. The profit for making good software for nothing is the fact that you also benefit from everything else everyone else is also making. Value goes through the roof and nobody is rich because rich is just a comparison to others. Someone’s gotta be poor for someone to be rich. Quality of life cannot be measured in dollars. Quality of products can however. People should not be measured by money. People should not be forced to do shitty work just because that’s the only thing available to them. Do you think people become plumbers or garbage truck drivers because the amount of money reached the point where it’s agreeable? No, they do that because that’s just the place that didn’t trash their resume.

I think pay should be a trade off for the downsides of a job, not a reward for prestige. Look at famous actors. They’re generally pretty good at what they do, but I would do what they do for just enough to get by because the shit looks fun!

If everyone has their net worth reset at regular intervals and the same baseline for income, people can’t be cornered into dead end jobs. The tools and systems society are built on will be again be tools that serve humanity rather than rank us.

All the software that matters already exists. If you’re doing something anyone thinks is awesome, they throw money at you. People will throw money at you for just being pretty on YouTube.
