Please do not give me shit for using Facebook. It’s how I keep in touch with relatives, most of whom live abroad, and my brother, who is has ASD prefers to communicate with me that way.

I would rather not use it, but I would prefer keeping in touch with my brother.

That said, I would not let AI keep in touch with my brother for me.

Exactly how would you advise my keeping in touch with someone autistic who has very specific ways they want to communicate? Or should I just never talk to my brother again?

I mean, if they can operate facebook without an issue, they can operate whatsapp, signal, and others. You’re not the only one with autistic family, and we managed to migrate from facebook just fine. Using someone’s disability as an excuse is sad.

You really put the pathetic, in apathetic.

Got it. You don’t understand autism. You think you can force an autistic person to communicate with you the way you want them to.

So instead, you’ll let them wallow in a world filled with AI bots and rage bait. Wonderful family you are.

Yes, he’s an adult and I let him make his own choices. He’s not my slave.

I guess you didn’t see the part where they basically argued that their family member was on both ends of the spectrum simultaneously. Both uniquely independent and high functioning, while also being severely crippled and unable to do anything without their help.

But hey, anything to keep suckin’ on zuck’s cock.

Oh look, someone that doesn’t understand autism. Cool.

Might be a good idea to stop talking rather than keep shoving your foot farther and farther in your mouth.

For the record, ‘spectrum’ doesn’t mean it’s a linear increase in symptoms. It means it can be any unique blend of symptoms, some of which can allow a person to be very independent while still being cripplingly unable to manage some tasks or activities.
