Yeah, with Ferreira and Pomykal still here, and supposedly some spending (though god knows if the Hunts even remember they own the soccer team back in their hometown), things should be better, but it’s a long season and yay playoff system, I guess. This Apple TV thing has made it so much more tedious to try to catch them. Even if I were paying, tfor me the intensity of the MLS regular season is closer to the NHL or NBA than NFL or CFB, so I tend to watch upon running across it, rather than hunting for each game. Then the whole league did the USOC dirty, but I gather FCD made a point of being one of the entrants, as it would look awfully bad for them not to be in the LAMAR HUNT US Open Cup.
If Pomykal can avoid major injuries for a while it’s over for everyone else, as they say… For me, I like the regular season and therefore I LOVE the AppleTV deal. I’m originally from Columbus (woo lamar hunt!) and basically being unable to watch games without paying for cable was terrible. Now I can watch every game and see the MLS360 whiparound show which is fun.
But yeah, the USOC change is shameful, I hate it so much. I hope FCD make a good run in it this year, at least! If the Riverhounds and the Crew can’t/won’t win it, certainly wouldn’t mind it being Dallas.
