And also, in my opinion, it is just worthless trying to write a nice and
polite article to an advocacy newsgroup. The whole point of advocacy
newsgroups is to have heated discussion. It should be coherent and
reasonably thought out, but does it need to be polite? No.
In particular, social media moderators need to pay attention to the latter one whenever they’re inclined to censor “uncivil” rebuttals to sealioning and other “polite” bad-faith bullshit, while allowing the bullshit itself to remain.
