The Diamondbacks' Jordan Montgomery has dropped Scott Boras as his agent and has signed with Wasserman's Joel Wolfe and Nick Chanock, sources told ESPN.
I hope Monty’s happy with his new representation. I think Boras will be fine, even with his 4/5 guys getting signed so late (and accusing the owners of colluding against him for this happening). Boras doesn’t really seem like my kind of guy. But he does represent players as opposed to owners, and I think owners are increasingly wanting to sign pitchers to shorter deals given the injury probabilities with max effort pitching; so I’m reluctant to criticize Boras when I know so little about the labour landscape
I feel the the same. From the outside it don’t really like how Boras handles some things, but it so hard to judge when you’re not part of the process. I can’t imagine how it must feel to be a good baseball player and be stuck in an market, not even knowing whether you’ll be part of a opening day roster
