From what I remember, Canada did implement a digital nomad program aimed at tech workers at the start of the Trump presidency. I’m not sure how successful it was though
I tried to get a job at LCBO, but apparently “taste tester” isn’t an actual job there, but they were incredibly apologetic that it didn’t exist, and said they would call me if anything changed.

Yeah, fair. I haven’t met a single American tech worker here 😅
I’m sure of my 200 new Indian coworkers at least one of them came here from America right? Right?

The Americans make it almost impossible to get citizenship so I’m not sure they were trying very hard.
