    Noone said anything about anyone getting in trouble. It’s just the way it is and the fact that you can’t grasp that says a ton about your knowledge and comprehension.

    I’ll repeat. You need to do some more reading on this. This is something that some of us have known most of our lives and seen played out in real life with the likes of Trump and others. The irs flat out will not send any information on a taxpayer to any law enforcement agencies, period. Not only is it just not the way it’s done, they don’t have the time as they are constantly overworked and understaffed and most of it is based on ancient systems crunching data and looking for patterns that get flagged for a second look by a human. And as I said in another comment, the irs mostly takes your word for everything and they don’t care where the income comes from. Plus if you think that someone is smart enough to file taxes to only be committing one crime at a time but also stupid enough to tell the irs fuck knows who else where the money comes from, that says more about you than them.
