At least 11 people, including children, have been killed in an Israeli attack on the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, it has been reported.

The Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that the strike hit a playground frequently visited by displaced children.

Most of those killed were children, the news agency reported with several people also wounded in the attack

One eyewitness described the situation as a “horrific scene of children torn apart”.

The latest data from Unicef said that one child in Gaza is killed or injured every 10 minutes and further said that at least 70 children are injured every day during the Israeli bombardment.

Palestinians are opposing the wrong people. If Hamas operatives were unable to operate publicly this war would be a lot easier for Israel to conduct in a manner that minimizes civilian casualties.

      Hamas ≠ Palestinians

Hamas may target Israeli civilians in their war against the IDF, and that is fucking evil, but Palestinian civilians are just trying to survive. The IDF kills orders of magnitude more Palestinian civilians in their war against Hamas, and that is orders of magnitude more evil.

Expecting Palestinian civilians, half of which are children, and all of which are currently experiencing a man-made famine, to lead the charge against Hamas or die in the crossfire is fucking deranged.

Hamas is the defacto government of Gaza. They have more support amongst the people than most governments in working democracy. So yes Hamas does equal Palestinians in Gaza.

More than half of the current population had also not yet been born when Hamas was elected, so you can not reasonably say it’s their responsibility when no election has been held since and when even Netanyahu personally has supported Hamas financially and helped them destabilize competing parties who wanted peace
