You don’t have any of those things either

But clearly the many, many researchers on the subject do and they pretty much all blatantly accept that aphantasia is very real. This is the consensus between pretty much all of the modern research on the subject.

you just blindly trust in whatever is coming out of psychology journals.

Brother I have linked you multiple studies, one with a sample size in the thousands.

That’s the opposite of what someone performing a critical meta-analysis of “aphantasia” or “adhd” or autism studies would do.

I linked multiple meta-analyses and the researchers all have multiple papers where they affirm the existence of aphantasia. Neither of us are qualified to say the scientific community is wrong on science.

You’re clearly not a very logical person,

I am the only one with real data. You are just saying “that data isn’t good enough!” while having no data of your own.

ADHD has also been pretty thoroughly debunked

Lmao complete bullshit. “It’s been debunked!!!” yet you can provide zero actual evidence. Here’s an analysis of ADHD research, another one, here’s one on the effectiveness of treating ADHD, here’s another one. Tell a neuroscience researcher “ADHD doesn’t exist” and you’ll be laughed at, much of the data is extremely high quality with large sample sizes (there’s even research with tens of thousands of participants).

It’s funny thinking about you hopping mad screaming SIRI SEARCH GOOGLE FOR ADHD STUDIES, yeah like I said dude, people believed histrionic personality disorder was real but it turns out it was environmental, behavioral, cultural especially. Before it was women who couldn’t meet expectations.

Aphantasia is a level lower, perfect for our hyper-individualistic age, it has no consequences at all for people, other than annoyingly inserting into conversation that they can’t visualize things but can still imagine them. Or at least sometimes, like you talked about your memories being fuzzier than you want.

“I have evidence that ADHD doesn’t exist, it’s been debunked.”

Proceeds to have no evidence that ADHD doesn’t exist, while staring at the thousands of available studies on the matter that establish that it does exist

You are a joke. You have no evidence at all despite claiming you do. You also have no evidence that ADHD and aphantasia are caused by having unhealthy habits, so you’re going against your own logic here by claiming that like it’s fact. The burden of proof is on you buddy, ADHD is considered real science by almost all credible researchers and has considerable evidence saying it exists. Where’s your evidence it doesn’t exist? Where is your meta-analysis that says these are wrong or poor?

All you do in this thread is pretend you have anything substantial backing your claims, and then just evade when you’re confronted and told to provide this “evidence”. I have provided many sources from world-renown experts on the field, I’m done with your “well scientific research isn’t real so I’ll ignore it” bs.

Prove that aphantasia and ADHD are caused by an unhealthy lifestyle rather than ADHD tending to cause an unhealthy lifestyle, and then we’ll talk. I don’t even know where you got “ADHD is a sleep disorder” from because, while comorbidities of sleep onset insomnia and other forms of insomnia are common in ADHD (just as they are in other disorders), a large chunk of people with ADHD don’t experience abnormal sleep.

Lol really you can’t find any evidence that ADHD is cleared up by healthy eating and exercise when it’s one of the number one techniques used by clinicians other than medication? You are just a google bot

Yeah what you said is what people say when they get caught in their bullshit. “The evidence is totally out there bro you can totally find it”.

You have no proof about your fringe claims about ADHD and aphantasia, and what apparently causes them. You cannot prove anything so now you’re cowering behind “it’s totally real” when you have nothing. You haven’t even stated a single source, despite claiming you have so many sources.

Where is your research? Where is your source? You’re an internet loser talking out of his ass trying to discredit the entirety of modern neurology research.

People with ADHD see an improvement in their life when incorporating excercise and healthier eating, as all people do, and they generally reduce stress caused by symptoms, but there are plenty of healthy people and MANY athletes who have ADHD (and aphantasia) as well and who still are often treated for it too, before, during, and after their careers. According to the MLB’s published data surrounding mental disorders in the sport, the rate of ADHD in professional athletes is likely to be even higher than in the general population. The BJSM has similar findings on athletes, the research being by many psychiatry & medical experts.

You literally asked for rates of diagnosis and I provided them. If you want to argue to neuroscience/psychiatry professionals that they’re wrong then go ahead, but so far your stance is just “I know better than science”.

Buddy you’re crazy. You’re typing like you’re having a psychotic episode now. You think this is AI generated? Do you have some sort of superior research that gives zero/near-zero diagnosis rates, o nutjob?

I do, I am webmaster for a site that’s published quite a lot of critical stuff, but I don’t really want to listen to your thoughts on what’s deemed “antipsychiatry” considering you’re an incurious bot of a man who only reposts the top links from google

I do, I am webmaster for a site that’s published quite a lot of critical stuff

Translation: I host an anti-science blog website.

but I don’t really want to listen to your thoughts on what’s deemed “antipsychiatry” considering you’re an incurious bot of a man who only reposts the top links from google

“MUHHHH I’M GONNA KEEP REPEATING OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT YOU USE GOOGLE AND MAKE FALSE CLAIMS WITH NO EVIDENCE!!!” – you.

You have no evidence. You will never have evidence. You’re just being a crybaby and throwing a fit since you’re very clearly wrong and can’t find experts in the field who agree with you.

Scientists prove science wrong, not random losers on the internet. You’d think you’d be able to find actual scientists saying that there’s no evidence for aphantasia when it comes to papers with hundreds of citations, but I guess the best you have is saying there’s not enough data for your tastes and pretending you know better than modern scientists?

It’s not an anti-science blog lol. I’ve only written 2 of the articles, I let the PhDs do the posting! I don’t just blindly repeat whatever studies I see like you, and I’m not going to keep repeating myself over you, you manchild.

The point of my initial comment was to recommend to you something which helped me with the same issue. It’s not some kind of thing that’s neurologically stamped into your brain, but I’m sure they’ll go on a goose chase for the “aphantasia gene” next.

I tried to tell you how you can fix your “aphantasia”, the proof is in the pudding. You certainly didn’t claim to be doing any of the healthy behaviors I mentioned.

Remember, I was trying to help you with your fake personality test disease? Worked for me. You’re afraid to try it, aren’t you?

I have not once mentioned personality tests you troglodyte.

You know what buddy, let’s say you ARE right and the solutions you posted ARE a cure to ADHD. How do you explain healthy people, like athletes and a lot of nutritionalists who are fit, who have ADHD and, despite being fit & eating well, still suffer symptoms of the disorder and may participate in therapy for it or take medication for it? Do those people not exist to you, or let me guess, you’re gonna say they’re faking it?

Michael Phelps has ADHD, and is the most decorated Olympian of all time. He has talked about ADHD quite a lot. Michelle Carter, Terry Bradshaw, Kevin Garnett. All legends in the sport. And these are just the household names, multiple studies put the prevalence of ADHD in college athletics/professional athletics as higher than in non-athletes of the same demographics.

You have so far not actually provided evidence for your assertions, and your false claims fly in the face of actual reality. You can’t actually muster up anything that says exercise and healthy eating cures ADHD because it’s just not true.
