Are there any humanoid whale folk in fiction you like? Do you think it makes sense to have those in fiction? If you made a whale man species for a setting you made, how would you make them act?

Anyways, that guy in the picture is Thumpback from Skylanders Giants… I have two figures of him, but one is broken and doesn’t work in the games unfortunately. He’s a pretty cool character in the games to play as, his attacks feel powerful and I like how he can slide on his belly. Also he uses that anchor as his main weapon.

His backstory has him as a former pirate who liked fishing more than actually being a pirate, then he got separated from his crew which later were banished to a chest. Apparently he was part of the crew of The Phantom Tide ship captained by a sea dog named Frightbeard, who is the main antagonist of the 3DS game.
