The cops are the fucking snowflakes. Using riot gear to deal with innocent college students. Not to mention fucking snipers.

Sorry if you have seen me post this image elsewhere, IU was my alma mater and I cannot be more pissed off about what is going on there. 33 students arrested last I heard. A place where protest camps have always been allowed by the university shut down by the cops with a new rule in place just before the protest started. I can’t be more disgusted.

Unfortunately while that’s out of the norm for IU, any protest in Columbus gets snipers. Possibly throughout Ohio. That doesn’t make it ok, it’s absolutely not, just not an escalation from expected behavior. At least that’s the lore among leftists in the state

That’s really not true. There’s a reason why people are making a big deal about this.

I have no idea what images you’ve seen, but not only do I know exactly where that IU sniper is standing, I can tell you for a fact that is not normal because I used to go up there when I was a student to smoke weed since they never locked the door.

I don’t think I would have gone up there with friends to smoke weed if there was a cop with a sniper rifle stationed there. Not even when there were protests going on where that protester is pointing his gun.

Currently? Working on getting a good intensive behavioral therapy facility so I can eat again, why?

That’s what happens when you are seriously ill with a lot of time on your hands.

Plainly nothing. But that’s a special kind of hell I’m very familiar with, so I won’t judge him for it.

Yeah if that’s true you should probably be more mad not less. Having a sword of Damocles dangling precariously overhead for otherwise powerless students exercising what should be a fairly mundane democratic function of solidarity really shouldn’t be “business as usual” for any country.

I don’t have the energy to be more mad. It doesn’t matter for me and in the end I don’t really care .

              It’s a you (USA) problem.

Europe does this regularly too. It came to mainstream knowledge when a protestor parachuted into the Germany - France euro match in 2020. People watching the spectacle noticed a sniper in the very top area over looking the stadium. When this broke in the news they said that snipers are regularly at events that large. They are anti-terrorism measures, according to the EU.

If law enforcement is using a sniper, it means it’s terrified of your protest.

If it’s terrified of your protest it means you have a legitimate grievance and they know it.

They don’t have snipers for COVID-19 mask and lockdown protests.
