I’m not judging, I’m genuinely curious. The reason why I’m asking is because in this sort of games I like to make the character resemble me as much as possible in every aspect, so I’m just curious to know what is the motivation behind men that decide to play as a female character.

    Metroid (NES) was one of my favorite games as a kid. Finding the hidden rooms etc. it was wild when you found out you were playing as a girl.

    Later, I preferred the Rogue in Diablo (1). (Firewall just inside a doorway / other restriction and bzatt with the bow gatt).

    Since then I tend to try to recreate these characters as best I can in newer games. Largely for nostalgia reasons.
