wtf phosphorus? how do you put the phosphorus in the bottle without it igniting and lighting yourself on fire?

the actual pro move is to put a little sulphuric acid in the bottle with the fuel, cap it, wash it, and then wrap it in paper that was soaked and dried with a mixture of sugar and potassium chlorate…
(paper to be stored very separate until right before use)

this was the original Molotov cocktail, used by Finland against russia and general Molotov…
also used by jews in nazi germany… (they snuck out and stole gas from nazi trucks)

Phosphorous is shipped immersed in a bottle of oil for exactly that reason

And good luck with potassium chlorate, that’s been an IED precursor chemical used by terrorists for years

i like how you’re pretending like you know what you’re talking about, but didn’t even think to make the distinction of white phosphorus, which will self ignite and is much harder to come by than potassium chlorate… and is more poisonous…
and a completely stupid idea because if your bottle breaks somewhere along the way, you burn yourself to death.

the way that i said, that people actually use in real life, the ignition is stored separately from the fuel, so not completely stupid and suicidal…

you are spreading incredibly harmful misinformation… stop it

I’ll cop to coming at this knowledge from conflict journalism and military affairs instead of a chemistry degree certainly, but you posted the age old Anarchists Cookbook version of fire bombs with the chlorate wrapper, friend - both are incredibly dangerous to the user in transit and/or accidentally dropped. Multiple other alkali metals will also work by the same mechanism, it doesn’t have to be phosphorus. If you follow conflicts and militant groups, you do mostly see the rag in bottle, then the storm matches method, with any other mode vastly underrepresented because rag+bottle+fuel works well enough and is cheap.

Amateurs and militants do a lot of stupid moves that can be severely detrimental to your continued life like using RF/phone detonators instead of timers or command wires. That doesn’t mean it isn’t an effective and expedient armament.

the whole point is you don’t store the paper with the bottle, and don’t combine them until right before use.
            paper bags are pretty good.
rag with a lit bottle are seen more because you can see a flaming bottle a lot easier than something that ignites after it lands… and that makes the latter a lot better for getting away with.
the anarchist cookbook was just an unedited collection of random pamphlets… some things were accurate (most weren’t)…
but i didn’t get it from there, i got it from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warsaw_Ghetto_Uprising

throwing a flaming bottle gives up your position, especially at night… throwing phosphorus in it is suicidal and i think you’re lying entirely.

WP suspended inside a flammable liquid is a thing that has been done, both by state and non state actors.

On 29 July 1940, manufacturers Albright and Wilson of Oldbury demonstrated to the Royal Air Force how their white phosphorus could be used to ignite incendiary bombs. The demonstration involved throwing glass bottles containing a mixture of petrol (gasoline) and phosphorus at pieces of wood and into a hut. Upon breaking, the phosphorus was exposed to the air and spontaneously ignited; the petrol also burned, resulting in a fierce fire.

Ah, how disappointing. You’d rather be ‘right’ than admit someone else can also have factual information.

Maybe you should have stayed on Reddit?

factual information that has nothing to do with my main points, and only shows that someone once did the dumb idea you said?
