There is no need for all-caps titles. We can read camel case or sentence case just fine.

I don’t alter headlines. Your complaint is with the Intercept.

Changing the case is not editorialising, but okay 🤷

Yes, this is a perfect example of how to do it in the future. Thanks!

It kind of is editorializing. Who am I to change the author’s intention?

All-caps text can be seen in legal documents, advertisements, newspaper headlines, and the titles on book covers.

Yes, and this is none of those things: this is a social media website. As to changing the author’s intention, we’re not in magical SovCit land where capitals change the meaning of the words. This is the English language. By all means clarify how changing the case of a post title changes the meaning such that it could be considered editorialising, but this is an awful lot of upset on your part for my simply pointing out that all caps titles are not necessary.

Sorry you feel this way. It’s a personal decision I choose to uphold. I respect your personal preferences, as you should respect mine. Feel free to post articles from the Intercept and edit the headlines. But I will not compromise my principles for your grammatical fetish. As I would not expect you to compromise yours for my proclivities.
