To visit Antarktis as a German citizen, you actually need a permission from the federal environment office (Umweltbundesamt).
What? Why?
It’s protected environment by the Antarctic Treaty System. I guess you are being told about the do’s and don’ts and get the permission easily.
You apply at the penguin enclosure at the local zoo
