      Well, given they’re electric I would assume they’re both set to the same speed. This does not look safe though

          I’m also no expert, but I know diesel-electric trains typically power each axle so assume it’s the same

      I assumed that the train could just slow down a very little bit till it touches with the car to then slow down when they touch each other but that’s probably not how it works.

          I am no means a train expert but that doesn’t sound that dangerous, only the relative speed matters and if it was a very small difference the wagons will eventually catch up and the impact might be noticeable but not fatal. But ig the emergency brakes would be a safer option either way.
