Just starting a discussion, since I’m not seeing people post and this is still new.

What case are you using, what have you used, and what did you like best?

I’ve only had two. NFC S4 Mini Classic and FormD T1 V2.

I really liked the S4 Mini because of its size, but it wasn’t easy to work on. The FormD although larger, much easier to work on and no heating issues.

Currently rocking a Densium 4 v2 with still a considerable amount of space due to it being an apu build. Moved here after a year or two with the Ghost S1.

I really like this, the wood looks nice and the side panel is nice too. Got more pics? Make a post of your own. :)

    NR200!
    I just installed a 3080 from /r/hws yesterday night.
Running it deshrouded with Arctic P12s as intake/case fans underneath.

I have the NR200 too, would you recommend the additional bottom fans? Did you notice gpu temp/noise improvement?

My build is based off the advice in the M&M NR200 series: on youtube

Since you have a FE card with the ‘flow through’ fan design, I think you’d get some benefit out of assisted intake from bottom fans.
To get a noise reduction, you’d probably have to set up a fan curve for the GPU in afterburner and the intakes using FanControl or similar.

For my own build, I’ve always had a deshroud on my GPUs, so I don’t really have a comparison for temp/noise.
My 3080 games around 65C with decent noise (though inaudible with earbuds in).

Thank you for sharing your experience. I already undervolted my GPU a bit and played with the fan curve but the FE can get LOUD.

This is neat! You got more pictures of it from other sides? What’s in it?

Also, what’s HWS? Is it hardware exchange? Do I need to make that here? 😋

I assume they’re referring to Hardware Swap.

          Neat!

I had a GTX 1080 Mini. Have you considered one of those, or the newer GPUs offering higher performance at the same wattage/size as a mini?

I used those arctic coolers on my first build, a GTX 570 HD. 😂

I have a home server running in a Fractal Node 304, that thing is still incredible so many years after its release. I got 6 HDDs, 2 SATA SSDs (with room for 2 more) and 2 NVME SSDs in it.

I’m also looking at cases to make a PC for the living room and I’m considering the NZXT H1, DAN ARH2O, Fractal Ridge and Fractal Terra. Any thoughts?

That’s a pretty beefy NAS. I got a plex server with 8x 14TB HDDs. Yours is smaller though. :)

Currently the Meshlicious. My first SFF case was SG13, then Nouvolo Speck - that one was hot.

Right now I’m using a NR200P but in the past I had a Cougar QBX, which was a great case for its price (around USD 60), now I’m thinking of changin to a Fractal Design Ridge but I hate how its front panel looks, although I saw a post of someone who’s selling wooden front panels for it so I might give it a try.

Using FormD T2 V2 Reference right now.

    Cases used prior: Meshlicious, NR200

Absolutely loved the NR200 but just needed to go smaller.

I got two at the moment. Pretty much mostly 2nd hand builds used to build or used to fund my downsizing addiction. Well excepting the odd ssd and the gpus. The crypto boom was great for offloading my old Vega 64 and 5700xt

Started with Node 202 in 2019, then upgraded last year to Phanteks Evolv Shift 2 because of thermals, no regrets so far! I’ll try to post some pics later :D

In an NZXT H1v1 right now. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of the FF01 because my case is hot, too hot. My 6800xt will sometimes break 100C. Me no likey. The new Terra looks pretty sweet too but it looks like aside from passive ventilation, cooling potential in it is fairly limited.

I recently switched from a Ncase M1 V5 to a Dan C4-SFX. The main reason was because my new 4080 didn’t fit. The Dan really is just marginally bigger but it opens up much more possibilities.
