I don’t want to victim blame here, but both “Logan Paul” and “crypto” together is just screaming scam. That being said, I hope the victims get their money back, though from the article, I doubt it’ll be anytime soon if at all.

On the one hand, I think when people are being scammed, there should be some recourse for them to recover their money.

But on the other hand, if you can’t see through “cryptocurrency” + “Logan Paul” + “game”, maybe you deserve to lose that money. I just wish it could be taken away from Logan Paul and donated to people who really need it.

I happened to have been a relay operator and had one of these romance scam calls drop on me back before they had any protections against that shit so I had to sit there and listen to a dude getting all sappy and sending money to someone typing anonymously and merely using me as a medium to talk. Saddest shit I’ve ever seen, and the only way I could even imagine the tactic working is on extremely lonely people. Because it was not subtle and most reasonable people could have seen right through it.

The hope induced by the scammer to get the victim out of their loneliness is powerful enough to trounce any counter-logic the victim can muster

Lives of victims and their families have been shattered by these scammers

i don’t think that is victim blaming. People have been saying for a while that this is a scam. There is thousand of stories where people lost everything.

Trusting someone like that with your money is on you. You didn’t listen to the little voice in your head telling you it’s too good to be true.

      {multiple shocked Pikachu face}

      • The thing being a scam
      • The game not even working (I remember a Dev finishing a similar game in about a week just to prove a point)
      • Logan pretending he was duped
      • Logan pretending he was going to do something about it
      • Logan not doing shit about it

But I guess a bull Crypto market makes people think any ponzy scheme is going to make them rich… And I have a feeling that some of the investors were totally aware and totally fine with it being a ponzy scheme only if they were not the ones holding the bag…

At that point I believe you’ve described the vast majority of what’s left of cryptobros. Most of the naive people are gone and now they’re all in it to con a greater fool.

I just hope they happen to be the greatest fools and can’t find anyone to pass the bullshit down to.

Does Logan Paul still have fans? Who are they? I thought this guy wouldn’t last past his fans turning 18

Probably the same people that like Tate, teenagers/children or people that grew up to him but didn’t grow out of him. Also prime is a shit drink and is not efficacious in the field he is trying to advertise it in.

Isn’t there a single customer from the EU? His ass would get sued by the governments if anyone would conntact them. Assuming the promised product wasn’t delivered.

People love shitting on crypto. The title could just be “Logan Paul still hasn’t refunded victims of his scam”, but no, gotta write “crypto videogame” because clickbait good. How many scams are run through “traditional” methods? How many scams are created through the internet and email? Are those things bad too?

If he was calling it “EmailZoo” wouldn’t we call it an email scam? Maybe we’ve been too forgiving of scams in Bitcoin space.

With good reason. Here’s yet another crypto scam and you’re replying with “what about other scamming methods?”. Maybe there’s a reason we talk much more often about crypto scams.
