Wow, 2023 is shaping up to be one of the best years in prog metal in recent memory. New Haken, Ne Obliviscaris, Periphery, The Ocean, and now new Tesseract. It’s going to be hard to pick my Album of the Year this year.

Tesseract and Periphery have both in my top 5 bands since their debuts, Hail Stan was my 2019 AOTY but P5 is my least favorite album they’ve ever put out. Reeeeaaaally hoping for some good Tess to claim it this year.

I have been waiting for this. Got really excited when I saw them posting pictures in the studio a while back.

They’ve been teasing us with studio photos since 2020!

Are you sure you’re thinking of the right band? I’m not finding any information regarding a scandal like that.

Do you have any proof? I can’t find any evidence of Tesseract crowdfunding anything nor any discourse talking about any drama. Something like that would definitely have ended up on the progmetal subreddit

Not OP, and not saying you’re wrong, but it just seems like if this album was crowdfunded, we would all know about that at least.
