Do people intentionally disconnect mid battle?

I’ve seen a ton of DCs, both early in the game and late.

It really hurts my enjoyment of the game. Like, even if we’re getting smoked, I’d rather stick around and work as a team to the end. I mean, it’s only a couple minutes. And a DC counts as a loss anyway.

It’s really frustrating to see all of these DCs. Are people really rage quitting, or is it just bad networking?

Edit: I just got Splatoon 3 for Christmas, but I’m a veteran of the series. Rage quitting did not seem to be as big of a problem in the previous two games.

Probably not. Disconnects in this game is really frequent. Most DCs I have seen doesn’t seem to be related to anything happening in game.

Ah. Ok. Just another instance of bad net code by Nintendo?

Still, the frequency recently has been really annoying.

Yup, the peer to peer system makes it so disconnects are much easier because both the host and client can have issues.

        You’ll constantly see disconnections.

It’s more of a problem here since if someone disconnects before a minute has passed, the match will end.

In my experience it’s cause the wifi kinda sucks on the switch and anything less than a stellar connection causes frequent drops.
