It doesn’t look like a particularly high-quality aquarium set, but all the necessary parts seem to be there. Even before getting this thing, I’ve thought about keeping dwarf frogs. Would a 5-gal. tank be big enough for two or three of them? If not, what would you suggest? I’ve kept aquariums before, but it’s been a very long time and I know myself well enough to know that I need something relatively low-maintenance.

If you’re planning on getting an actual tank foe fish/frogs, you can turn this small one into a Daphnia tank, so you can get some free food for your frogs!

Some duckweed, a couple plants, and a snail or two, and you’ve got a simple lively aquarium.

Cool thing about Daphnia is that besides temperature, it’s nearly impossible to kill them all, the population will always bounce back, which makes them really easy to takencare of.

Size wise, I’d say shrimp or snails. But even then you may struggle to keep stable parameters in it. Maybe just have aquatic plants in it?

Hmmm… I’ve been eyeing a microscope lately, too. That could make for a good combination.
