I agree. I do hope that MvdP will be able to finish the Tour this time, though, and ride for a victory of his own at one time.

It’s kind of bogus you can be the “enforcer”, breaking all the rules, get relegated, and your team still gets the win. Everything outside of the push was awesome though.

I had missed the push! Only saw later that he was punished for it. I think Philipsen was in the wrong against van Aert on Monday.

As an aside, I read a suggestion the other day about sprint finishes: to paint lanes on the roads and then everyone has to stick to theirs.

In theory, that’s a good idea, but I think it won’t work. All they see is the finish and at such high speeds lanes would lead to crashes too.

Another one for the sprinters, I’m thinking Philipsen wil get this one again. Though I’m hoping Cav will get his win nice and early in the tour and goes on a Cav winning streak.

      Cav or Bini

Seems like Bini has the same problem as Caleb, that being positioning… Granted it’s Binis first Tour

Seeing that great leadout by alpechin yesterday, I can’t see any team beating Phillipsen today, even with the easier run in to a drag race, he’s looking strong. Incoming Wout handlebar pound.

Pretty exciting finish. Weird road surface issues.

If Caleb was on a better team with a decent lead out, he’d really be in for a chance. His finishes are so fast, but he’s isolated and out of position. I reckon he’s got one this TdF though.

Stage one: Lafay escapes with Pog and Ving on the climb.

Stage two: Lafay beats Van Aert to win the reduced bunch sprint.

Stage three: Lafay wins the intermediate sprint from the peloton.

    Stage four: ???
