Was it that wild of a ride, though?

Agreed. If I recall correctly, DP editorial board was kind of meh on legalization, if not outright opposed. And they were wrong as well.

Also, Hickenlooper was against it, too.

All of the drug warriors were dead wrong, and I really wish they were called onto the carpet for it and made to explain decades of pain inflicted on the United States (and the world, it turns out) due to their delusions.

We have legal psychedelics now. Now that the cannabis naysayers are all high themselves, I think this is going to work out just fine.

For anyone else in the world reading this, weed is totally a normal thing here in Colorado. Nobody is going crazy or anything like that. Weed here has no more excitement than a cup of coffee, TBH.

Yes. And most of the sane people predicted this kind of outcome decades ago if any state (or feds) came to their senses over cannabis (and things like psiloycbin, LSD, mescaline, MDMA, etc, if we are going to be honest).

It all just goes back to what some con operative said way back in the 70s (?) about how it was just about being able to criminalize liberals and POC. And so many fell for the hype.

Californian here. I moved to CA about a year before they moved from medical to recreational.

The ride was not wild. I actually appreciate the ride. It’s reached the point where your 75 year old parents ask if you have any gummies to help them sleep when they stay over.

Been in CO long enough to have been able to vote in medical. The wildest part was driving home with an oz for the first time running through how I’d explain to the cop that everything was legal. Didn’t get pulled over. Got high at home legally. WILD.
