Nearly 50 people who attended a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse in Utah were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning, church officials said Monday.

Fifty-four people who attended the meetinghouse in Monroe, roughly 174 miles south of Salt Lake City, reported symptoms, and 49 were treated for elevated levels of the poisonous gas, the church said in a statement.

The statement blamed the incident on a malfunction with the building’s heating system and said church officials closed the meetinghouse until they could ensure its safety.

Why would God do that to them? Seems like 49 sinners is the only answer. Hopefully they will see the error of their ways. Maybe they were all soakers?

      Is soaking a sin?
Thought it was just a loophole.
      Like Catholics have the poophole.

I’m not sure, I think it’s a grey area officially, though obvious bs if your brain is larger than a walnut.

American evangelicals love the anal purity too. I still miss her sometimes.

What the hell is soaking? Just stuff it in there flaccid and… don’t move it at all?

Oh it gets better…you get a friend to jump on the bed, thereby causing a little bit of motion to keep things interesting. But because you aren’t thrusting (the motion is just sort of happening) it’s still okay

Dammit Jerry, you set the gas too high! We want light headaches and dazed patrons, not detectable poisoning. Lord have mercy.

I’ve been to this church and Monroe, it’s a tiny town and everything there is old as fuck. The church is probably one of the biggest buildings in the town, and one of the only places where the residents would all gather at once.
