A shame they never had this kind of creativity in the latter movies. They basically became blasters from Star Wars where their lethality was dependent on the plot.
I loved this scene, but I wish they would have stayed more true to the books here. I understand that they wanted to ramp up the tension and menace of Voldemort, but the books showcase just how he fears Dumbledore and how much of an absolute BAMF Dumbledore is. They do some cool and unique magic here, but in the book there’s so much cool shit to really show how far out of the normal league they both are.
Loved this scene actually. I felt like it really showed the power of both of them and the calmness of Dumbledore, more like he is in the book.
Yes, I’m surprised this was David Yates, he didn’t do anything like this again in any of the other new movies. It became just who has the brighter lightning from their wand.
