The Colorado Rapids have signed U.S. national team goalkeeper Zack Steffen from Manchester City, sources briefed on the deal tell The Athletic. The agreement is for three years with an option for a fourth. Steffen will not occupy a designated player slot.
Additionally, the Rapids have traded the rights of out-of-contract goalkeeper William Yarbrough to the San Jose Earthquakes. Steffen will take over as the starter in Colorado.
