Alot of businesses are starting to prioritise sustainability as it’s what the customers want.

    I’d love for it to be because consumers are wanting to be environmentally conscious about their choices but that’s not it. This is simply an extension of the lack of consistent wage increases for low to middle of middle class earners.

      Fair point. This might be true for most, but I’d like to think people considers this more of an option now than in the past. Regardless of income.

      Still long way to go.

    Cool for sustainability and all that, but not that great for me, I like 2nd hand shopping because I can get something that someone spent a lot of money to buy, but didn’t need it and nobody else wants.

    In case of stuff like old audio equipment, I can buy something that someone spent $1000 dollars to buy new and only pay $20…

    This means that there probably will be less used stuff on the market and more buyers.

      I see it as a two way street.

      The more people who cares about 2nd hand, the more will also try to sell 2nd hand.

    Honestly savvy second hand shopping can net you some real bargains. Ebay and charity shops have become my go-to for most things and I rarely regret a purchase.
