Ok…but why? Just to be more intimidating than a pistol?

After seeing the revolver shotgun mod from Brazil I think these guns are for intimidation.

Judging by what must be fake bullets in the magazine, I’m guessing the shell started life as an Airsoft gun.

I remember seeing something like this used by the french equivalent to the SAS, the revolver is super reliable and accurate to the point some put scopes on it but for parades and situations where you want to look imposing they had G36 shells like this.

This is unchecked knowledge based on hazy memories, i just wanted to put out this angle that I heard no one talk about.I would fact check this right now but it’s too early for that right now for me, I’ll probably clarify more in an edit.

The “sniper” Manurhin is very much real but I’ve never heard about disguising it as another gun.

Also the GIGN is not really the equivalent of the SAS, although they are both “elite” units, because they only operate on french soil (they’re a unit of the Gendarmerie which is basically militarized police), whereas the SAS are military, and as such, I believe can only operate outside of the UK.

Basically the GIGN are more like the SWAT. Idk about the British equivalent

What’s the point of this? Why hide your gun in an even bigger gun?

I wouldn’t feel too at ease about putting my support hand in front of where the real barrel terminates. If the revolver shifts somehow that cheap handguard plastic isn’t going to offer much protection.

Plus if the shooters has to actually use this, their cover is blown after the first 6 shots when they have to reload? Ridiculous.
