Since Hoodwinked never got a sequel despite being a success at the box office and especially on its DVD release, I think it would be fun to speculate about what if it got a sequel :D

It’s not unheard of for movies to get a sequel years and years later, puss in boots 2 came out 11 years after the first one. Anyways…

Post your story ideas and let’s talk about them! I’ll even post my own!

Am I missing something? Hoodwinked did get a sequel. Or are we not acknowledging it

I think Hoodwinked is kind of like the Incredibles in that it really doesn’t need a sequel. The original isn’t lacking in any department so I don’t know how they could improve on it.

This is definitely true! That’s probably why it never got one.

Wait woah, I was looking up where I could stream Hoodwinked since I haven’t seen it for ever. Turns out there was a sequel released in 2011 called Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil.

I think it would be a good story to show a more coming of age side of Red. In the original she is still JUST a delivery girl at the end of the movie despite all the many changes to her character throughout the film.

Granny Puckett could be growing too old to do extreme sports and realizes needs Red to carry on the family business. Despite her heritage, Red is mostly just the extreme sports side of her grandmother and struggles to contain herself long enough to be able to do something as gentle and precise as baking is.

Meanwhile the wolf and twitchy are chasing a new story, the trees are vanishing… This leads them down an increasingly dangerous rabbit hole and eventually… To the happy yodelers!

The twist at the end of the movie is that Kirk was faking his personality this whole time and he’s actually a mastermind that’s testing the forest creatures so he can chop it down and start a logging business. The acting role in the first film was just an excuse to be able to act like a woodsman, even without the callback he planned on continuing to pretend to be a woodsman under the guise of “future acting work”.

I like your story, I’ll start mulling one of my own, maybe sometime with introducing different fairy tales and characters.

Maybe have Red start a fairy tale girl-gang, the reds always each of them fighting their own projected/personified/fairy-tailified shortcomings and insecurities that are manifesting as the rival “blues” (meant to be a pun, but in today’s hot button politics I’d be worried if it being taken as political guidance)
