What a tactical stage, UAE must feel like chumps, jumbo played it very well, see how Jai goes!

What a stage and what a great winner! Especially at the end I couldn’t tear my eyes away.

Great shakeup! This promises a LOT for the next weeks 😊

UAE team leader Adam Yates to be lead out by super domestic Tadej Pogacar up the Col de Marie Blanque dropping everyone except Gaudu who despite wheel sucking for the whole stage gets the Combative award.

I genuinely think Vingegaard can drop Pog here, I think the fact that Lafay could follow him on stage 2 says more about Pog than it says about Lafay.

I mean, logically this is a stage Pog should win, but… let’s see…

      Edit: Called it!

It was a good stage. Will be interesting to see how Poga/Hindley/VIngegaard plays out the next few days

And Jai is finally off the front!

Just tuned in to a very confusing situation. Hindley in the break? UAE chasing without help from TJV because TJV have riders in the break?

UAE needs to call their bluff and sit up. I’d be pretty happy if Jai took enough time against Pog and Vin today because of these tactics, with Jai winning the tour.

Really look forward to this stage. Had a hard time picking a favourite for it though, as in theory a break could be successful but as the HC col is in the middle of the race, the peloton could catch up and Pogi could win the stage 😊

I’m hoping Pinot will take this stage from a breakaway. After all his 2nd places in the Giro he deserves a win in his last Tour de France, but more then likely someone will ride smarter the him.

I forgot to say, but I picked Pinot for the tdf game. He came so close in the Giro, indeed, I even cheered him on from behind my tv 😊

        He deserves a win today!

Despite the shake up and sizable gaps today there are still lots of riders in contention - 9 riders within 1:20 of Vingegaard; 19 within 3 minutes.

I’m guessing that with the long shallow climb to end tomorrow there won’t be any big attacks so it will still be all to play for up the Puy de Dome on Sunday.

Nice! I know I’m late 😅 but I can only watch at night . Interesting days ahead even more so because it seems it will be hard to control the race for the big teams. Thank you for keeping this comunitiy alive and keep posting! :-*
