Please god, we don’t need an arena here. Just why. Make some houses for the people here.

      I’m afraid they’ll next be asking us to raise taxes for the apparently inevitable arena.

    Look, I understand that people want “homes” and “communities” and “not to be forcibly relocated from their houses” but you have to remember that pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the nation and if we don’t build an absolutely gigantic pickleball stadium in the west end like my biggest donor says we could be missing out on huge investment opportunity for the city.

      I’m not even sure what is supposed to really make this potential arena such a great investment. We have no major tenant for it and there are plenty of other cities nearby (Louisville, Indy, Columbus, etc.) that all can attract the same events.

      Meanwhile we actually have a huge shortage of housing and this whole block ready for a huge investment but we won’t move forward. Just dumb.

    Why are we making two sports districts? It’s already bad enough that the FC stadium isn’t on the river.
