    Or worse, the people who insist on launching into a full description of the route when you know you’re just going to use GPS and they won’t stop talking.

        I didn’t. I asked the guy where we are eating and instead of just telling me the name, went off on complicated directions. He was just eager to show off.

        I’ve asked people if there’s anywhere good to eat around there, and they name a few places. I’ll say “oh that sounds good, we’ll go there. Thanks!” And then they start giving me directions. Usually telling them I’m going to GPS it stops them, but occasionally someone will just keep on going. Last time that happened I just walked away. If you’re going to ignore me, I’m going to ignore you.

    “I don’t know, sorry” is not only quicker to say, but significantly less obnoxious…

      Also you never pull anything out or stop for these people

      They are just trying to divert your attention to pickpocket you, or straight up grab your phone and run. A practiced thief can take the Rolex off your wrist in half a second
