English (native), Japanese & German (rookie?) I’ve been using Duolingo for about 4 years but am not that confident, and I have been thinking about trying Mandarin.

Could/want to learn more of: Qosqo Quechua, Nahuatl (Dialect[s] unknown)

Am aging much quicker than many, so attaining new information is fairly difficult (But may prove helpful to some, I hope, 😁 ).

To set the right example:

I speak dutch (native); english (fluent); german, spanish, portuguese, french, esperanto (good); italian (adequate); russian (slightly below adequate); mandarin chinese (basic); arabic (very poorly)

I’m learning mostly russian and chinese, for many years already, but not in any formal setting and with for many years already. I like reading books in the other languages to keep them up.

Fluently I speak German, Czech, Norwegian and English. And then a little russian but not very much. I might be able to hold a very general convo

I speak English natively, and Hebrew pretty well. I am learning Russian and can get by with a lot of context. I know enough French to get the gist of simple conversations and have studied a bit of Irish.

Of note, I have also been studying Old English off and on for a few years.

Natively Finnish, fluently english. I also studied german for maybe 6 years at school, i think I remember the grammar pretty well but vocabulary is lacking. Swedish is mandatory in Finland so i’ve studied that too, but i don’t care about swedish so my skills are pretty bad. My girlfriend has taught me Thai a little bit

I speak English, Spanish, and Italian. I am trying to learn classical Latin because when I was in grad school I didn’t pay attention because I didn’t need it. After that, I want to learn Old Norse and Ancient Greek.

Anyway music 🎶 is a universal language, το ίδιο και τα μαθηματικά. But I spent too many years juggling java, until most recently learning scala. Now a citizen of nowhere, wondering what’s next? I’d like to discuss future world pathways with people in Africa, or maybe India.

I am also using very basic ASL in my classroom. I am an elementary school teacher and ASL is incredibly helpful in communicating with students without interrupting the classroom.

I am native French. Fluent in English and Danish. Currently learning Esperanto and having lots of reflexions around that.
