Have they changed the way they compressed assets on PC?
They essentially took the same algorithm used by the PS5 and recreated it in software for the PC - but on the PS5 it’s hardware accelerated, and on the PC it was straight up hammering the CPU. For the Deck, this would mean a total disaster.
If that’s fixed I’m willing to give it a try!

I’ve read so much bad press on it I haven’t tried playing it yet (Steam Deck or PC). I really should finish Hogwarts Legacy first. Maybe by then The Last Of Us Part I will have even more performance improvements! 😄
I’m really glad I finally get to play this. Just want to play a story driven game as good as Bioshock/Bioshock Infinite and maybe this can get close at least.
