Just testing the posting.

Literally the day i was going to post about this on r/phoenix, someone else posted their experience with waymo, so i didnt bother. But it was a fun ride, and a very cool and surreal experience. I love our psuedo sci-fi world. 😄

Also, does lemmy not have spellcheck?

    How was the ride?

Did it seem like the driving algorithm was cautious or not?

What kind of vehicle was it?

Did you know it was a driverless vehicle?

Yeah, there were a few times where it was overly cautious, and one time where it braked for a split second in the middle of the road for no reason, but other than that, it was great.

It was a Jaguar SUV, sorry, I don’t know the exact model.

Yes, we intentionally got a driverless car just for the experience.

I see you’re connected to a few other migrated subs on here - what ones have you found?

What did you think? I’ve used them a few times and other than their slow and meandering routes I really liked it.

We really liked it! Like you said, it took a long slow route to get were we were going, but it was in the middle of the night for a work trip, so we weren’t in a hurry, and we weren’t paying for it, so it was a good time to just enjoy the ride.

Our only issue was that we had luggage, and it wasn’t clear whether we could have had access to the trunk or not, but we just put the luggage in the front passenger seat.

It was a mostly smooth ride, and it took all the hassle out of navigating and figuring out where we needed to go, plus we didn’t have to talk to any people, that’s always a bonus. 😆
