    What the heck is this. I thought it was gonna be some kind of sarcasm but it is apparently sincere.

    If you are diagnosed with a chronic illness, explore your insurance options. Determine if an insurance plan or paying cash will be more affordable. Once, my uninsured friend was diagnosed with cancer. Hospital staff helped him set up insurance that helped pay for chemotherapy.5

    I don’t know all the ins and out of the system, but surely “Wait until something bad happens, then get insurance to cover it” is a strategy that the system has some in-built resistance to.

    The 10% of the population who have declared bankruptcy because of medical expenses would surely take issue with the “cross fingers it will be fine” strategy.
