- Adds the following items to the System tab of the Main Menu:
- Motion Blur Strength - Allows the player to adjust the strength of the motion blur effect when the character or camera is in motion. The default setting is the maximum of 5. This can be lowered to reduce the strength of the motion blur effect, or set to 0 to turn it off completely.
- Player Follow (Movement)
- Player Follow (Attack) - Turning these settings off prevents the camera from automatically following the player while moving and attacking respectively.
- Changes the maximum setting of the Camera Sensitivity (Horizontal) and Camera Sensitivity (Vertical) items from 10 to 20.
- Adds three new controller layouts: types D, E, and F. [Screenshots]
- Corrects an issue that affected the stability of some menus.
- Corrects some text issues.
- Adds the hashtag #FF16 when sharing screenshots or video clips on Twitter or YouTube.
Here’s a gallery of all controller layouts, A-F, as of now: https://imgur.com/a/sXhcd0M
I’ve gotten used to layout C so I won’t switch, but it’s good to know there’s finally a way to assign dodge to circle.
I ended up sticking with A, but it took a while to adjust and now I’m used to it. D definitely would have been my preference if I were start playing from now.
@helloharu glad there’s finally options for motion blur!
i just wish they let me fully re-map the controls however i want — none of these new layouts seems ideal to me
Same. I’m glad they’re doing QOL improvements like that, as small as they may seem.
I don’t mind the layouts, took a while to adjust because D would have been my preferred layout to begin with. Not expecting remappable controls until PC release, but even that might just be for keyboard + mouse. Would be nice though for people like yourself that want it.
Too bad they haven’t been able to patch up the frame rate in performance mode. It’s not bad in combat at least, but it would be nice for it to be a little more stable outside of that.
I’ve seen a few people mention this but never experienced it myself as I’ve been using graphic mode. Guessing it’s not unplayable, just fluctuates too much?
Yeah, that’s basically it. The strange thing is in combat it pretty much locks to 60. But out in traversal it goes all over the place. Having a VRR display really doesn’t help much either because the swings are so large.
If you’re interested, check this out and skip to the performance section: https://youtu.be/_Oyjldkh5kE
Thanks! I’ll make sure to give it a watch.
