Microchips are increasingly present in every day life, from phones and laptops to cars and washing machines. Gov. Greg Abbott approved last week a stimulus package in an effort to shore up the supply chain after the pandemic’s disruptions.

    I suppose it’s a better use of public funds than prisons, but it’s unfortunate that they’re giving away public money to a private business when they don’t even have a fully functional power grid.

    $1.4 billion is roughly $3500/teacher or $250/student (Texas public school system numbers).
