Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stopdrinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

    I’ve been working on not drinking in my home by myself. It’s been a struggle sometimes, and there are days where I end up having a beer. But it’s been stopping there at a beer. Not killing half a 1/5 of bourbon sitting alone in my office.

    I won’t be drinking today. Sticking to my flavored waters.

      Tapering off is a valid quiting strategy, have you tried any Nonalcoholic beers yet? They really helped me quit.

        I drank those at first. Surprised how much like Heineken zero tasted like the real thing. Then realized how much I hated the taste without a buzz afterward. 🤣

      Sparkling water is so OP, I’ve been chugging lemon-lime PC bubble water like no one’s business trying to cut out beer.

      I kinda want to invest in a sodastream now.

          If you have a Costco membership or know someone who does, their package deal is a lot cheaper than Amazon or in other retail stores. They will sometimes go on sale for like $30 off too. We got a sodastream terra bundle with two tanks and two bottles for like $70 when other places they are like $120
