Palworld is already so big that the servers from Epic Games can't take it, but Pocketpair is already rolling out a massive fix for it.

“We had an emergency meeting with the Epic Games team and had them add an update to the Epic Games backend at short notice. We have confirmed that this has resolved the connectivity errors and issues when hosting co-op games on Xbox and PC.”

    I love the fact that this game exists. It’s a broadside on the shell of Nintendo and Game Freak. Who have gotten so complacent and self-assured that they will always dominate this segment of the market that have stopped trying altogether. All the Pokemon releases of the past couple of years have been gigantic disappointments, mainly because they’re all ugly, buggy, near unplayable messes. I enjoy the schadenfreude of Palworld eating Nintendo’s lunch.

      It’s not the first time. Harvest Moon is another example. Then we got Stardew Valley and as of today the market is saturated with all kinds of unique (and not so unique) games that I can’t imagine Nintendo putting out anything that can compare to what’s out now.

    Loving this game so far! Running my own dedicated server for my friend group, thankfully not too hard to setup.
